Ernest Joseph “Joe” Amaro, Jr., age 63, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019.
The son of Ernest Joseph, Sr., and Irene (Amaro) Olsen, Joe was born on October 23, 1955, in Flint, Michigan.

Joe loved to ride motorcycles with his wife, Laura, traveling throughout the State of Michigan and surrounding areas. He was an active member of Iron Phoenix Riding Club. He also loved playing the bass guitar and doing sound for several local bands.

Joe is survived by his children, Erika (Adrian) Bettis, Ernest Joseph Amaro III (significant other, Traci Murray), and Geno Michael James Amaro; grandson, Corey Green; sister, Barbara (Paul) Thornton; brother, Marc (Charlotte) Amaro. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by wife, Laura Amaro; their son, Tony Amaro; his mother, Irene (Amaro) Olsen; his father, Ernest Joseph Amaro, Sr; niece Melissa Thornton; grandparents Oscar and Ellen Borgstrom.

Iron Phoenix Riding Club is a 501 (c)3 Organization.  We are dedicated to suicide prevention and awareness.  IPRC shall carry out this purpose to transform lives and communities through the power of education and social welfare.  The strength of the IPRC relies on the principles of integrity, prudence, respect, compassion, honesty, and courage as are exhibited by its Membership.
